Demonstration of Field Savings:
For reporting due Feb. 1, 2026, the following random number seeds, provided on Jan. 5, 2025, should be used in the Method to Demonstrate Field Savings of ENERGY STAR Connected Thermostats random sampling methods. More information on the sampling method may be found in the Savings Method and Appendix. As these seeds are updated twice a year, prior to the reporting deadlines, please ensure that the most up to date seeds are used when evaluating product metrics. Also make sure the seeds are applied as local seeds, not global, to assure they aren’t altered before running the EPA software.
