Technical Reference: ENERGY STAR Score for U.S. Vehicle Dealerships

This document presents details on the development of the 1 – 100 ENERGY STAR Score for vehicle dealerships, which applies to buildings used for the sale of new or used light-, medium- and heavy-duty cars and trucks. The objective of the ENERGY STAR score is to provide a fair assessment of the energy performance of a property relative to its peers, considering the climate, weather, and business activities at the property.

ENERGY STAR Score for Single-Family Homes in the United States

The 1 – 100 ENERGY STAR score for Single-Family Homes applies to single-family detached and attached homes. The objective of the ENERGY STAR score is to provide a fair assessment of the energy performance of a property relative to its peers, taking into account the climate, weather, and activities at the property. To identify the aspects of building activity that are significant drivers of energy use and then normalize for those factors, a statistical analysis of the peer building population is performed.

Development of ENERGY STAR EPI for Fluid Milk Processing

This report describes the data and statistical methods used to construct the Energy Performance Indicators (EPIs) for fluid milk processing plants. It reviews how the EPIs were developed to provide plant-level indicators of energy performance by working with the dairy industry. The report also presents the individual equations used in the EPI.

ENERGY STAR Score for Data Center Estimates (U.S. and Canada)

The ENERGY STAR score provides a fair assessment of the energy performance of a property relative to its peers, taking into account the climate, weather, and business activities at the property. In the United States, data centers are able to earn the ENERGY STAR score using an energy intensity metric that takes into consideration the IT Energy used by the data center (see the Technical Reference for the ENERGY STAR Score for Data Centers for more details). For data centers within a larger property, it can sometimes be difficult for property managers to obtain IT Energy.
