Furnace Specification Version 5
The ENERGY STAR specification for Furnaces is currently under revision. Materials related to this revision process are provided below. Partners and the general public with questions or concerns regarding these materials or the revision process can contact Abigail Daken, EPA, at Daken.Abigail@epa.gov or HVAC@energystar.gov. This webpage will be updated periodically as new information is received.
EPA had proposed sunsetting the ENERGY STAR specifications for residential gas furnaces and central air conditioners. EPA is now proposing to revise, rather than sunset, the furnaces specification. Please see the sunset proposal page for further details.
