Homes and apartments may not be certified with the NextGen label until the NextGen program is officially launched in 2023. For homes located in some U.S. states and territories, ENERGY STAR has developed region-specific Version 3 program requirements. This document defines the core efficiency specifications under Version 3 of the program for ENERGY STAR certified homes located in Guam, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Northern Mariana Islands, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
