This document provides guidance on how to communicate the ENERGY STAR Score of manufacturing plants and reference any plants that have received ENERGY STAR certification within Environmental Product Declarations or in other materials that communicate aspects of a product’s environmental impact.

This report describes the data and statistical methods used to construct the Energy Performance Indicator (EPI) for metal casting plants. It also explains how the EPIs were developed to provide a plant-level indicator of energy efficiency by working with the metal casting industry. The report presents the individual equations used to develop the EPIs.
