RXR is a real estate owner, investor and operator in New York. RXR integrated ENERGY STAR® into several aspects of its energy management program and promoted ENERGY STAR certifications and energy performance metrics to its tenants and internal stakeholders. Key 2023 accomplishments include:

  • Achieving ENERGY STAR certification for 20 properties.
  • Developing carbon neutrality roadmaps for each of its properties, leveraging ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager® to establish performance baselines.
  • Distributing flyers to all tenants highlighting the importance of energy efficiency and the benefits of ENERGY STAR certified products, as well as promoting the ENERGY STAR Tenant Space recognition.
  • Organizing a vendor conference with real-time energy monitoring companies to increase understanding of benchmarking best practices and how to most effectively use ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.
  • Recognizing engineers from across its portfolio for reducing their buildings’ energy consumption and achieving ENERGY STAR certification.
  • Developing scorecards for its properties that provide information to tenants on the building’s energy performance and ENERGY STAR score.
In 2020 ENERGY STAR and its partners helped Americans avoid more than $40 Billion in energy costs
