Partner of the Year - Sustained Excellence - Energy Efficiency Program Delivery
The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) is a regulatory agency that oversees the state’s Clean Energy Program. The NJBPU incentivized more than 3,900 ENERGY STAR® certified homes and apartments in 2023, for a total exceeding 92,000 residential units since joining the program in 2001. Key 2023 accomplishments include:
- Increasing the program’s ENERGY STAR builder participation by 16% compared with 2022.
- Holding nearly 50 webinars to educate homebuyers about ENERGY STAR certified homes and apartments, reaching more than 4,100 homeowners and other stakeholders.
- Delivering annual savings of more than 5,000 MWh (natural gas) and nearly 58,000 MMBtu (electric) through its ENERGY STAR incentive programs.
- Reaching a milestone of 16% of all new housing projects in New Jersey participating in its Clean Energy and ENERGY STAR programs.
