New Hampshire Electric & Gas Utilities

New Hampshire Electric and Gas Utilities logo

New Hampshire Electric & Gas Utilities is a utility consortium comprised of Eversource, Liberty Utilities, New Hampshire Electric Co-op, and Unitil. The consortium supported the construction of more than 900 ENERGY STAR® certified homes, representing an increase of 20% compared to 2022, for a total surpassing 11,600 homes since joining the program. Key 2023 accomplishments include:

  • Promoting the ENERGY STAR program to builders, energy rating companies, consumers, and other stakeholders, and driving market share of ENERGY STAR certified homes to nearly 33% statewide since the program’s inception in 2002.
  • Showcasing ENERGY STAR certified homes on NHSaves.com and utility social media accounts, resulting in a 44% increase in website traffic.
  • Creating a new partnership with emerging professionals at the American Institute of Architects focused on integrating ENERGY STAR features into modern architectural designs.
  • Conducting extensive training for builders, homeowners, architects, and other stakeholders on innovative energy saving construction practices and ENERGY STAR program requirements.
In 2020 ENERGY STAR and its partners helped Americans avoid more than $40 Billion in energy costs
