Memorial Hermann Health System is a not-for-profit healthcare system. Memorial Hermann annually certifies all eligible hospitals and designs new ones to ENERGY STAR® standards. Key 2022 accomplishments include:
- Certifying 21 buildings as ENERGY STAR, including 10 hospitals.
- Recruiting 139 healthcare facilities to join the 8th Texas Energy Roundup, a co-branded ENERGY STAR competition, and helping hospitals across the state reduce energy use.
- Presenting in support of the ENERGY STAR medical imaging equipment specification at a conference and sharing best operating practices with healthcare engineers.
- Refining construction guidelines to electrify heating in new construction, renovations, and expansions.
