Brighton Homes, a local home builder, constructed more than 100 ENERGY STAR® certified homes in 2023, for a total of more than 2,300 homes since joining the program in 2009. Key 2023 accomplishments include:

  • Continuing to highlight ENERGY STAR as an integral part of its company identity in all print and electronic marketing materials, including signage displayed in certified homes and on the company’s website.
  • Training all contractors on ENERGY STAR program requirements and providing ENERGY STAR checklists to all construction teams.
  • Training all sales agents, site superintendents, construction teams, and warranty representatives to enable them to effectively communicate the features and benefits of ENERGY STAR certification throughout all phases of the homebuying process.
  • Continuing to survey homebuyers, after purchase and 1 year later, about the importance of ENERGY STAR certification in their buying decision, with more than 72% of buyers identifying it as a very important factor.
In 2020 ENERGY STAR and its partners helped Americans avoid more than $40 Billion in energy costs
