The Boeing Company, a global developer, manufacturer and servicer of commercial airplanes, defense products and space systems, renewed its partnership with ENERGY STAR® and strengthened the company’s corporate energy program and commitment to energy efficiency across its operations by employing energy Treasure Hunts and participating in the ENERGY STAR Challenge for Industry. Key 2023 accomplishments include:

  • Supporting energy efficiency improvement in the aerospace industry by actively participating in the ENERGY STAR Aerospace Focus.
  • Implementing a variety of energy communications for Energy Awareness Month, which included a playbook of energy saving resources that employees can use to improve energy efficiency at home and at work.
  • Requiring high energy consuming plants to develop multiyear conservation plans and implement select projects.
  • Investing $12 million in conservation projects, resulting in more than 100 million Btu of avoided consumption.
  • Achieving the highest participation rate in the company’s Battle of the Buildings campaign, with more than 1 million employee actions taken, resulting in avoided energy use equivalent to the avoided energy consumption of more than 100 homes.
In 2020 ENERGY STAR and its partners helped Americans avoid more than $40 Billion in energy costs
