Partner of the Year - Sustained Excellence - Energy Management
AMLI Residential Logo

AMLI Residential is a multifamily company focused on the development, acquisition, and management of apartment communities. AMLI has continued to leverage its ENERGY STAR® partnership to communicate the value of energy efficiency to both internal stakeholders and residents across its communities. Key 2023 accomplishments include:

  • Achieving ENERGY STAR certification for 45 properties.
  • Establishing three 2030 decarbonization goals and continuing to chart a path to net zero by 2050. This commitment includes leveraging EPA tools to conduct an analysis of refrigerant use, Scope 3 emissions, embodied carbon in its building materials, and emissions specific to its resident units.
  • Integrating new technologies for building automation systems, Wi-Fi installation, remote monitoring of boilers, retro-commissioning projects, and energy audits to increase energy reductions across its properties.
  • Engaging residents around energy efficiency and ENERGY STAR through property websites, property brochures, and on-site tours, and through its green home guide.
  • Training employees through its sustainability modules, which detail ENERGY STAR best practices and information on ENERGY STAR certification. A new monthly call was established among property teams to evaluate property performance based on utility data, energy use intensity, and ENERGY STAR score.
In 2020 ENERGY STAR and its partners helped Americans avoid more than $40 Billion in energy costs
