Affinius Capital is a real estate investment company. Affinius continued to grow its energy management program across its diverse portfolio, undertaking unique construction projects aimed at decarbonization while promoting ENERGY STAR® across the industry. Key 2023 accomplishments include:

  • Achieving ENERGY STAR certification for 28 buildings.
  • Investing in advanced energy analytics platforms and partners that optimize energy efficiency and provide measurement and verification after the implementation of energy efficiency measures.
  • Retrofitting multifamily assets to make them ready for electric vehicles through the installation of more than 80 charging stations across its properties in Southern California.
  • Completing construction of a first-of-its-kind mass timber industrial logistics warehouse in Dallas, Texas, featuring low-carbon building components, including cross-laminated timber and a new concrete technology for the foundation. The project is estimated to reduce embodied carbon by 43% in comparison with conventional construction methods.
  • Highlighting ENERGY STAR achievements in its annual sustainability report, which is distributed to internal and external audiences.
In 2020 ENERGY STAR and its partners helped Americans avoid more than $40 Billion in energy costs
