Set-top Box Specification Version 5.0

The Version 5.0 ENERGY STAR specification for Set-top Boxes was finalized on May 13, 2016. The Set‐top Boxes V5.0 specification will replace the Set‐top Boxes V4.1 specification on Jan 1, 2017 for all products except Thin Clients. Thin Clients must meet these requirements on January 1, 2018. Materials related to this process are provided below. Stakeholders who received past communications related to the development of previous specification versions will continue to receive updates on this review effort.
