Pool Pumps Specification Version 1.1

EPA has finalized the Version 1.1 specification for pool pumps.  This revision adds optional connected criteria to the specification.  The ENERGY STAR Pool Pump Version 1.1 Specification goes into effect on March 30, 2015, at which time manufacturers may elect to have their Certification Body (CB) certify their eligible products.  Manufacturers interested in joining ENERGY STAR should visit the Partner page.  Partners and other interested parties with questions about ENERGY STAR for Pool pumps can contact poolpumps@energystar.gov directly.

EPA released the Draft 2 Connected Criteria for Pool Pumps on August 15, 2014. Stakeholder comments are due to poolpumps@energystar.gov by Friday, September 19 and EPA will host a stakeholder webinar Wednesday, October 1 at 11:30 AM. To be added to the product development e-mail distribution list, please send your full contact information to poolpumps@energystar.gov. This webpage will be updated periodically as new information is received.
