Building on more than 20 years of partnership to foster the future success of the ENERGY STAR program for lighting, EPA is hosting a webinar series in 2016. These interactive webinars will serve to further the technical discussion, understanding, importance and relevance of key technical topics to the ENERGY STAR program and lighting specifications. Each session will feature presentations by multiple technical experts who will speak on the designated topic and provide a forum for open discussion among ENERGY STAR lighting stakeholders. Please visit the ENERGY STAR Lighting Webinar Series web page for more information.
Partners and stakeholders are encouraged to submit comments on the first draft to lighting@energystar.gov by Friday February 17, 2017. Please indicate “ENERGY STAR Lamps 2.1 First Draft Comments” in the email subject line.

To facilitate an open discussion among stakeholders, EPA will host 2 separate calls on connected lighting and lighting product packaging. These topics generated stakeholder feedback during the specification development process for ENERGY STAR Luminaires and Lamps Versions 2.0 on that led the Agency to believe that further discussion on these topics among stakeholders would be beneficial.

During the stakeholder meeting, there was interest among many partners to have further granularity in the analysis, with regards to run-up time, start time, and R9 values. From this discussion, EPA has provided additional analysis in the slide deck below, as well as an anonymized data set for stakeholder to run their own analyses. This analysis has been performed on data from the Lamps Certified Product List on March 5, 2015. To obtain a copy of the stakeholder meeting recording, please email lighting@energystar.gov
