Displays Specification Version 8.0

The Version 8.0 specification for Displays was finalized on May 2, 2019. The effective date of the specification is January 28, 2020. Materials related to this revision process are provided below. ENERGY STAR Displays Final Version 8.0 Specification (Rev. Nov-2021) – November 24, 2021

EPA revised the test method to clarify the requirements for test setup and indicate that the requirements specified in Section 4 of IEC 62301:2011 are only applicable for Sleep and Off modes.

ENERGY STAR Displays Final Version 8.0 Specification (Rev. Feb-2020) – February 21, 2020

EPA revised the specification to clarify criterion (4) in the definition of Signage Display, which is intended to refer to displays that are configured to be vertically mounted. The revision also corrected minor typographical errors and updated a reference to CTA-2037-A in section 6.8 of the ENERGY STAR Test Method.
