Clothes Dryers Specification Version 1

The ENERGY STAR Version 1.0 Clothes Dryers specification was finalized May 19, 2014 and took effect on January 1, 2015. The ENERGY STAR Version 1.1 Clothes Dryers specification was finalized May 19, 2020 and took effect immediately. Clothes dryers may be labeled and promoted with the ENERGY STAR mark, in advance of the effective date, once they have been certified by an EPA recognized certification body.
