Battery Charger Specification

The ENERGY STAR battery charging systems specification has been finalized by EPA and has taken effect as of January 1, 2006.

Battery Charger Stakeholder Meeting, Washington, DC — June 23, 2005

EPA hosted the first stakeholder meeting to discuss the development of the new ENERGY STAR battery charger specification. EPA presented on the current state of the process, and on the different options under consideration for the new specification. Industry members were able to engage in the conversation and provide feedback about the many aspects of this new specification.
