On a related note, the EER requirement in the ENERGY STAR specification was reinstated effective August 5, 2004. The Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI), with funding from the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) and its members, is hosting a national database that allows consumers to identify products that meet the current ENERGY STAR specification as well as other levels of efficiency. To help understand how to use this online database, we have created a quick guide (PDF, 118KB) to help you with the various fields used in this online database.
