Scoping Reports

In addition to prioritizing specification revisions, EPA looks for opportunities to expand ENERGY STAR to new product categories that will deliver significant benefits to consumers and the environment in the form of energy and dollar savings plus greenhouse gas reductions. Scoping reports are a first step in this evaluation. They are not intended to be exhaustive but a guidepost for the ENERGY STAR program. In response to stakeholder interest in these scoping reports, EPA is making them publically available.
