Samsung Earns ENERGY STAR Certification for New Smart Home Energy Management System

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is pleased to announce that Samsung SmartThings is the first platform of its kind to earn the ENERGY STAR certification for a Smart Home Energy Management System (SHEMS). When designed to help consumers manage their energy use, these smart systems simplify, streamline, and optimize the products in homes for energy savings. They automate the control and tracking of smart devices from one centralized management system, factoring in the preferences and schedules of  families to avoid energy waste and reduce their carbon footprints. With ENERGY STAR certification of the new Samsung SmartThings Home Energy service, simplified home energy management is now available nationwide, with integrations that span thousands of brands.
