Make your bulb choice count! Choose an ENERGY STAR certified LED bulb and organizations across the country will support local community service projects.
APS, together with one of the largest emergency response charities in the country, will be walking door-to-door in Sun City and Buckeye to test residents smoke alarms and install new detectors if current ones are not up to code at no charge. On average, seven people die every day as a result of home fires, and 36 are injured, so this is a great opportunity for Sun City residents to ensure their homes are safe. In addition, APS will offer residents ENERGY STAR LED light bulbs to replace old incandescent bulbs as part of the 2016 ENERGY STAR Change the World Tour in which partners across the country are encouraging customers to switch to ENERGY STAR LED light bulbs. Customers can save about $80 in energy bills over the lifetime of each ENERGY STAR LED bulb.
