Looking to save energy and money this summer? It’s simple just look for the Energy Star! Products that have earned the label are the most efficient on the market.

If your central a/c unit is more than 12 years old, a new model that has earned the Energy Star could cut your cooling costs by 30 percent. If you're in the market for a room air conditioner, an Energy Star model will use about 15 percent less energy than a conventional one. Finally if you need a dehumidifier make sure you choose one that has earned the ENERGY STAR, it will use 15 percent less energy.
