Scoring Big with ENERGY STAR Certified TVs

1.) Did you know: Televisions that meet the ENERGY STAR requirements are on average more than 25 percent more energy efficient than conventional models, saving energy in all usage modes, including sleep, idle and “on” mode.

2.) It’s not just about making the purchase: Reducing the brightness of a TV by employing ambient light control features can reduce power consumption by up to 30 percent.

3.) Big Savings for US, Big Benefit for the Planet: If all televisions sold in the United States were ENERGY STAR certified, the energy cost savings would grow to more than $620 million each year and 9 billion pounds of annual greenhouse gas emissions would be prevented, equivalent to the emissions from more than 885,000 vehicles.

The ENERGY STAR can be found on a wide variety of TVs, ranging from standard definition (720p), to large screen UHD TVs with the latest features like HDR. You can find the ENERGY STAR on the most innovative televisions on the market, including LED and OLED models.

So, are you ready for the Big Dance? Make sure you save energy along the way with an ENERGY STAR certified television.
