Criteria Development Process

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has released final criteria for the 2024 Emerging Technology Award for Modular Packaged Commercial Refrigeration Systems and Commercial HVAC Electric Motors.

The 2024 Award winners will be announced on a rolling basis once documentation is verified and approved by EPA and products are available for U.S. sale. Product submittals and other information requests can be sent to emergingtech@energystar.gov.

2024 Emerging Technology Award Final Criteria

Below are the final 2024 Emerging Technology Award final criteria for Modular Packaged Commercial Refrigeration Systems and Commercial HVAC Electric Motors. Manufacturers with products that meet the Award criteria may immediately begin submitting the necessary documentation to demonstrate that they meet this criteria to emergingtech@energystar.gov. All Award-winning products will be listed on the Emerging Technology Award Modular Packaged Commercial Refrigeration Systems Qualified Product List and the Emerging Technology Award Commercial HVAC Electric Motors Qualified Product List.
