The new federal standard for central air-conditioners and air-source heat pumps will take effect in January 2006. EPA is considering potential changes to the ENERGY STAR specification for these products, and is evaluating new equipment requirements as well as quality installation components. This session will introduce the options being considered by EPA, outline the expected schedule, and identify opportunities for partner input.
