ENERGY STAR Multifamily New Construction Trained Raters
The Raters1,2 below have met the training requirements of the ENERGY STAR Multifamily New Construction program. This list may not be comprehensive. In addition to this training requirement, note that it is required for a Rater to be credentialed by a Home Certification Organization (HCO) or meet the credentialing requirements of a Multifamily Review Organization (MRO), which may be verified with the HCO or MRO. Also, it is the responsibility of each Energy Rating Company, and ultimately the HCO or MRO under which they operate, to ensure Raters have met all training requirements and maintain documentation of completed training.
1 The term 'Rater' refers to the person(s) completing the third-party verification required for certification. The person(s) shall: a) be a Certified Rater, Approved Inspector, as defined by ANSI / RESNET / IECC Standard 301, or an equivalent designation as determined by a Home Certification Organization (HCO) or Multifamily Review Organization (MRO); and, b) have attended and successfully completed an EPA-recognized training class. See www.energystar.gov/mftraining.
2 Raters in the Multifamily New Construction Trained Raters Directory have completed the necessary training and are associated with an organization which is an ENERGY STAR Partner. Being listed in the Directory does not indicate that the Rater meets the credentialing requirements.
