What are the program requirements?
To earn ENERGY STAR certification, a new home or apartment must meet strict energy efficiency requirements established by the EPA’s ENERGY STAR Residential New Construction program.

Builders, developers, energy rating companies, utilities, and other energy efficiency program sponsors can all partner with ENERGY STAR; others such as real estate professionals and HVAC contractors can also participate.
