For select commercial food service categories, CBs administer a component inspection method as an alternative to verification testing for eligible ENERGY STAR partners. Please refer to ENERGY STAR Directive 2019-02, Component Inspection of ENERGY STAR® Commercial Food Service Products for additional information about the component inspection method. Please note that for all commercial food service categories, CBs should test no more than 10% of a partner’s unique certified models for verification testing per product category.
