Make your bulb choice count! Choose an ENERGY STAR certified LED bulb and organizations across the country will support local community service projects.
Our Connecticut Partners
Energize Connecticut partners Eversource and United Illuminating are partnering with Walmart and TCP to Brighten a Life with ENERGY STAR certified LED light bulbs. Events will be hosted at select Walmart locations during the month of October to educate Connecticut residents on the benefits of ENERGY STAR certified LED light bulbs. Eversource customers will receive up to 4 free ENERGY STAR LED light bulbs when they turn in up to 4 incandescent bulbs. Any remaining bulbs will be donated to a home building organization for families in need. United Illuminating customers will receive up to 2 free ENERGY STAR LED light bulbs when they bring in up to 2 incandescent bulbs. Customers that make a $5.00 monetary or canned good donation for a local food bank will receive 2 additional ENERGY STAR LED light bulbs for free.
A number of Connecticut communities are using their Energize Connecticut Bright Idea Grants to host LED light bulb swaps, encouraging residents to reduce energy use with ENERGY STAR LED bulbs. Residents in these communities may exchange up to 5 incandescent light bulbs for up to 5 ENERGY STAR LED bulbs, free of charge. For each additional LED bulb purchased, one will be donated to the home building organization for families in need.

As described above, TCP is partnering with Walmart and Energize Connecticut as part of their larger effort for the Change the World Tour.
TCP is partnering with Walmart and utility partners across the country to Brighten a Life with ENERGY STAR LED light bulbs. Forty-five educational events will be held in the month of October at select Walmart locations to educate people on the benefits of ENERGY STAR certified LED light bulbs and provide you with a FREE ENERGY STAR LED—while supplies last! TCP will also be donating ENERGY STAR certified LED bulbs to a home building organization in their hometown community of Portage County, Ohio to Brighten Lives.
