Our Virginia Partners
ProVia, Thompson Creek Window and Fairfax County Public Schools have partnered to promote ENERGY STAR in elementary schools with the “Sammy the Star” ENERGY STAR educational program by teaching students the importance of changing to ENERGY STAR certified LED light bulbs, along with donations of LED light bulbs to a home building organization for families in need.
The Sammy the Star program will be at two elementary schools in Fairfax county with 400 students receiving LED light bulbs to take home; along with a call-to-action encouraging homeowners to make a commitment to purchasing ENERGY STAR LED light bulbs for their homes.
In addition, ProVia’s commitment to the 2016 Change the World Tour has reached to their employees who are participating by making a commitment to purchase ENERGY STAR certified LED light bulbs. Donation bins have been set up at each ProVia facility to collect additional ENERGY STAR LEDs that will be donated to the home building organization.

TCP is partnering with Walmart and utility partners across the country to Brighten a Life with ENERGY STAR LED light bulbs. Forty-five educational events will be held in the month of October at select Walmart locations to educate people on the benefits of ENERGY STAR certified LED light bulbs and provide you with a FREE ENERGY STAR LED—while supplies last! TCP will also be donating ENERGY STAR certified LED bulbs to a home building organization in their hometown community of Portage County, Ohio to Brighten Lives.
Every time you purchase a featured ENERGY STAR certified LED bulb on Amazon.com during the month of October, MaxLite will donate 10 percent of sales directly to a home building organization for families in need, which builds homes and hope in partnership with low-income families.
