Our Michigan Partners

Consumers Energy logo
Consumers Energy

On October 1, Consumers Energy kicks off its Buy a Bulb, Give a Bulb program at the Walmart location at 5859 28th Street in Grand Rapids, Michigan to promote energy savings and collect donations for a local food bank. The one-day event provides customers with information on energy savings through use of ENERGY STAR certified LED bulbs.

In exchange for every ENERGY STAR LED bulb purchased at participating retailers throughout October, Consumers Energy will donate one LED, up-to 75,000 LEDs, to a local food bank. Let’s change the world and brighten a life together with ENERGY STAR, EPA, and Consumers Energy. Learn more here.

As described above, TCP is partnering with Walmart and Consumers Energy as part of their larger effort for the Change the World Tour.

TCP is partnering with Walmart and utility partners across the country to Brighten a Life with ENERGY STAR LED light bulbs. Forty-five educational events will be held in the month of October at select Walmart locations to educate people on the benefits of ENERGY STAR certified LED light bulbs and provide you with a FREE ENERGY STAR LED—while supplies last! TCP will also be donating ENERGY STAR certified LED bulbs to a home building organization in their hometown community of Portage County, Ohio to Brighten Lives.
