Plugging you into the latest from ENERGY STAR
21st Century Savings
The 21st Century has seen the introduction of a wide array of new ENERGY STAR certified products, substantive greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions, and billions of dollars in cost savings for the American consumer. Because of these successes, ENERGY STAR has earned the status of “household name.”
In fact, ENERGY STAR achievements have been the most prolific since the program began over 20 years ago. In 2000, aided consumer awareness was at a little over 40%. But today, 89% of Americans recognize the label when shown! Why has ENERGY STAR become so well known? The proof is in the pudding!
Additionally, ENERGY STAR has become a sustainable and sound investment for all Americans. For every incremental dollar invested in energy efficiency through ENERGY STAR, Americans saved, on average, $4.50 on their energy bills and prevented more than 30 pounds of greenhouse gas emissions.
With the overwhelmingly positive trend so far this century, that’s a return on investment you can count on!
