Test Method for Determining Residential Dishwasher Cleaning Performance
To support EPA's future specification development efforts on cleaning performance of residential dishwashers, DOE has developed an ENERGY STAR test procedure for dishwasher cleanability. EPA and DOE welcome stakeholder feedback on the Draft Final Test Method for Determining Residential Dishwasher Cleaning Performance. Comments are due via e-mail to appliances@energystar.gov by March 14, 2013. At this time the EPA is issuing a call for data associated with the finalized cleaning performance test method, data submissions are due to appliances@energystar.gov by May 31, 2013. Please use the provided data assembly form to generate submissions.

EPA and DOE hosted a webinar on September 19, 2011, to discuss the development of an ENERGY STAR test procedure for dishwasher cleanability. The purpose of the webinar was to engage with stakeholders early in the test procedure process, presenting initial thoughts and test data on dishwasher cleanability, and to receive feedback from stakeholders.
