In May 2012, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) notified the firm?s Facilities Plant Operations Department that the newest of four towers at the St. Petersburg international headquarters had earned ENERGY STAR certification. In addition, Raymond James contracted a local firm in 2012 to conduct an energy audit of all its facilities (including two garage buildings) to identify potential opportunities for improved energy efficiency. Based on the recommendation of a long-term plan yielded by the audit, the firm will map out new measures for implementation on its campus.
Communications:
To inform associates about the firm?s policies and promote associates? energy-saving practices, the Raymond James Sustainability Committee schedules announcements to appear on the campus television monitors and maintains a presence on the firm?s intranet with sites that offer sustainability ideas and information. In 2012, the committee organized its third annual Sustainability Fair featuring vendors and community organizations. The fair attracted more than a thousand attendees, including children visiting with their employee parents for national ?Bring Your Kids to Work? Day.
