Soaring 22 stories above its premier office location in Indianapolis, IN, 101 West Ohio has set standards for quality, elegance, and convenience at the crossroads of the city's legal, financial, and business district. The building continued the westward expansion of the city's highly-acclaimed downtown renaissance and completes the highly successful development of Ohio and Illinois Streets. Developed by one of the Radnor Corporations, the real estate subsidiary of the Sun Company, the building was purchased in 1999 by West Ohio II LLC and is managed by Amerimar West Ohio II Management.


101 West Ohio was designed by Browning, Day, Mullins, Dierdof, Inc., a nationally renowned Indianapolis architectural firm, and offers unrivaled views of Monument Circle, Union station, Victory Field, the Capitol, the Canal, and White River Park. A model of elegant design and classical simplicity, the stately tower features recessed ribbons of sapphire blue solar-control windows framed by bands of sleek carbon steel. The entry-level fa?ade reflects the grandeur of Norwegian granite, polished steel sconces, and hand-set granite pavers.


The lobby's dramatic, 3-story atrium features a spectacular 45-foot high glass wall imported from England. The sleek expanse of glass sweeps across the lobby with no visible means of support. Ribbons of light-sensitive windows automatically change color from a sapphire blue on a brilliant sunny day to almost clear when skies turn gray. The 5-foot windows visually amplify the office suites, reduce glare and outside noise, and minimize energy loss.


Fifteen separate temperature control zones on each floor, covering as little as 600 square feet per zone, enable individual offices to set their own comfort levels for both heating and air conditioning.


Computerized elevators provide rapid access to all floors, with a maximum waiting time of 28 seconds during peak loading periods. Custom manufactured in Bloomington, the six deluxe Otis elevators use Elevonic controls to constantly hover near the points of demand.

An energy audit for the 101 West Ohio was completed by Uni-Excel Energy in 2009. Items that were identified during the audit are being investigated for future implementation.
