Torke, Wirth, Pujara Ltd., the renovation architects, was a Gold level winner at the 2008 Design Awards for their work on the Wells Fargo Home Mortgage main lobby. This was presented by the Wisconsin chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), the oldest and largest professional organization for interior designers in the United States. TWP also won on the national level for this entry. The renovation included all four floors of the building; the restrooms received a facelift, the mailroom was relocated, and the cafeteria and server area were upgraded. A new security and video monitoring system, including two revolving doors at the east and west wings, were also upgraded.
The recently renovated landscaping frames the building, which against the brick and glass exterior makes a very impressive appearance. The perimeter landscaping was renovated this year. The building underwent a major parking lot lighting upgrade; the owner replaced the wiring, poles and heads with the latest LED technology, significantly reducing their energy costs by more than 50% and improving the quality of light. It also lends a very modern, sleek look to the parking lot.
