Owned and managed by Hines, Doral Corporate Center II is a seven-story, 137,000-square-foot office building, part of a two-building campus in Miami's Airport West submarket. Designed by Jung/Brannen Associates, Inc., and completed in 1989, Doral Corporate Center II is distinguished by broad horizontal bands of reflective windows, separated by concrete in subtle contrasting shades of cream and reddish sandstone. The building is situated in a landscaped plaza rich with palm trees and other native plants. Parking is provided in more than 950 surface spaces.
Doral Corporate Center II earned the ENERGY STAR for superior energy performance as a result of select infrastructure retrofits and changes in building management practices. For instance, all of the light fixtures in the building were retrofitted from incandescent or T12 fluorescent to T8 fluorescent lamps. On the management side, HVAC run times and settings were adjusted to reduce unnecessary operation--for example, HVAC is set to run only by tenant request on the weekends.
Hines has been recognized with multiple ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence and Partner of the Year awards. For a summary of the firm's participation in the ENERGY STAR program and other sustainability information, visit www.hines.com/sustainability.
