Built in 2006, the Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) Center for Health and Healing is a 16-story green building housing physician practices, education and research activities, retail operations, and a health and wellness center with a gym, four-lane lap pool, therapy pool, weight training area, and day spa. Not only did the OHSU Center for Health and Healing earn the ENERGY STAR for superior energy performance, it also obtained Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum certification for its additional green designs, making it the largest LEED Platinum building in the United States at the time of certification.
