Ridgeview Charter Middle School originally opened as a high school in 1968, but was later converted to a middle school. In 2009 the school was expanded and was substantially rebuilt based on a design by CDH Partners. The mechanical system was converted from multi-zone roof top units to water source heat pumps with variable volume pumping and condensing boilers. The office and assembly areas were converted to variable air volume roof top units. The school sits on the top of a 22-acre site in Sandy Springs that is just inside the Perimeter (I-285) and east of Georgia 400.
