The building's management recently completed an Energy Efficiency and Retro-Commissioning Audit Report under the San Diego Gas & Electric Lodging Energy Efficiency Program. This report provided management with many options to reduce energy by approximately 31 percent, with a payback period of fewer than four years. Building owners and managers will be moving forward with many changes in the upcoming years to meet this goal. The building owners and managers will first look at chiller upgrades and cooling tower replacements. Next, they will look at their options on boiler upgrades and/or replacements. As they move forward with implementing these changes, the goal will be to make this building LEED-certified in the near future.
