building

Roswell North Elementary School opened in 1960 as an 8-classroom school. After several additions it now is a two-story school that has 65 classrooms. The last work in 2008 added 18 classrooms and replaced the water source heat pumps and roof top units in the earlier portions of the building. The school has a robust direct digital control building automation system by Automated Logic Corporation. The building is situated on a 10-acre campus adjacent to Roswell Area Park. In 2013 the HVAC central plant for the building that existed before 2008 was replaced along with energy recovery units. As part of the work, the water source heat pump condenser loop was converted to variable volume pumping, a new cooling tower was installed, and condensing boilers were installed.
