Crabapple Middle School opened in 1983, and underwent additions in 1989 and 2007. The building mechanical systems were overhauled in 1999 and consist primarily of direct expansion roof top units with hot water reheat boxes for zone temperature control in classrooms. Assembly areas are conditioned primarily with gas heat/air cooled roof top units. The building is situated on a compact 20-acre campus adjacent to Roswell Area Park.
