Beginning in 1985, the HVAC system went through a major system conversion from constant volume mixing boxes to variable air volume (VAV). The steam absorber was removed and electric chillers were installed.
The HVAC control design has been modified to facilitate better control and improve energy use. Reflective window film has been installed to reduce the solar load on the building.
The building's management has been diligent in upgrading building standards to the most recent accepted and proven technology to keep the building as energy efficient as its design allows.
