Mayo Clinic Health System ? Chippewa Valley in Chippewa Falls is part of the former Luther Midelfort System, comprised of four hospitals and 11 clinics encompassing 1.8 million square feet. A number of energy efficiency projects have been completed at this facility in the last couple of years, including replacing all the lighting with energy-efficient lighting, installing programmable thermostats to put the building on setbacks with other HVAC upgrades, and utilizing PC and monitor management software. The largest project was upgrading and resizing aging rooftop units. Nine rooftop units, ranging from 1.5 to 3.5 tons, where replaced with energy-efficient units. Some of the units where oversized, so they were replaced with units sized to better fit the load.
