Baldwin 200, a landmark structure in Cincinnati, is not only known for its elegance but also its superior energy efficiency. The luxurious rich wood paneling with polished imported marble and contrasting custom accent carpet places Baldwin 200 in a class of its own.  Natural lighting is provided by floor-to-ceiling glass panels and the lobby features a two-story atrium.

 

ENERGY STAR certification for Baldwin 200 required extensive retrofitting of the building lighting and HVAC infrastructure.  In 2004, 100% of the existing T-12 fluorescent lamps were replaced with T-8 lamps and incandescent bulbs were replaced with high-efficiency compact fluorescent lamps.  In 2006, Yaskawa variable frequency drives were installed on the building's two-cell cooling tower.  In 2007, Yaskawa variable frequency drives were installed on all twelve air handler units.  Additionally, the building uses an energy management system which utilizes optimal start providing superior balance between energy savings and tenant needs.
