The building was originally developed in 1896 by Henry Heide, the Dean of American Candy manufacturing and maker of the jujubes and jujyfruits, as a nine-story candy factory. Inspired by the historic industrial activity of the building, contemporary aluminum and glass storefronts and entrances were added into the existing traditional warehouse facade. The building has 12-14' ceilings and a renovated lobby featuring terrazzo marble floors, accented with back-lit white crystallized glass walls.
