Constructed in 2008, and located in Boca Raton, FL, 1800 Boca is a four story multi-tenant office building. The property is owned in a joint venture between Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers [CREA] and Crocker Partners,LLC and managed by Crocker Partners Property Management. In 2010, the property management team at 1800 Boca began monitoring the energy and water performance of the property in ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager®. With a strong commitment to sustainability and support from ownership, the team worked to implement energy efficiency projects throughout the common areas and tenant suites. These projects led to superior energy performance, and eventually to the property earning ENERGY STAR certification in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
Notable projects implemented at the property include
retrofitting 32W T8 lighting in common areas and tenant spaces with
25W T8 lamps, calibrating temperature, humidity, and pressure sensors
on all major HVAC systems at the beginning of each heating and cooling
season, programming the energy management system (EMS) to enable
optimum start/stop of the HVAC system, and adjusting the interior
lighting operating schedule to more closely align with tenant lease hours.
CREA is a seven-time ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year award winner whose Global Real Estate Sustainability Initiative (GRESI) reflects the firm’s strong commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency.
