Fall Creek Elementary School
Map It!

Fall Creek Elementary is one of eight elementary schools in the Yadkin County School District. The majority of the 64,733-square-foot campus was constructed in 1989. The district is in its fifth year of its energy management program, which works to raise awareness about energy efficiency and encourage behavioral changes to help save energy and resources. The district's energy management team also regularly audits the schools to make sure all heating and cooling equipment is operating efficiently and on the correct schedules.

The energy management team has made improvements such as programmable thermostats, LED exit lighting, and upgrading to T-8 lamps. Fall Creek Elementary received a score of 96, well above average, to earn the ENERGY STAR for superior energy performance the first time it measured its energy use in Portfolio Manager.

"The energy performance of Fall Creek Elementary can be directly attributed to the efforts of administration, teachers, staff, and children at Fall Creek. They help make sure that the school is operating at full efficiency."
